Tom Smith / Patrik Pelikán / Jan Klamm

New collaboration of Hamburg-based American musician, performer and composer Tom Smith from To Live and Shave in L.A and Prague-based free impro duo Klamm & Pelikan.

Tom Smith began making experimental music as a teenager in the mid-1970s. Groups he’s either founded, co-founded or collaborated with include Boat Of, Peach of Immortality, Velvet Monkeys, Pussy Galore, To Live and Shave in L.A., Miss High Heel. His Karl Schmidt Verlag imprint began in October 2008 and has issued nearly 400 albums and 10 books to date.

Patrik Pelikán is a visual artist and musician focusing on woodwind instruments (alto saxophone, soprano saxophone and clarinet), electronics and lap steel guitar. Besides Fuck It Duet and Ruinu involved in Prague Improvisation Orchestra. On KLaNGundKRaCH label he released two solo records, both on cassettes: Hortus Conclusus in 2012 (split with Ruinu) and Drift (2013).

Jan Klamm is the founder of KLaNGundKRaCH and Blood in the Boat Records. He has been using variable electronic devices, guitars, synth, or amplified objects in bands and projects like Ruinu, No Pavarotti, Klamm & Pelikan (aka Fuck It Duet), Rouilleux. He is a curator of experimental music series A2+ and KontrA2punkt festival.
